About the Children's Ministry
Our purpose in Children’s Ministry is to encourage and equip parents to raise up their children to put their trust in God. Ps. 78:1-8
Therefore, it is important for you to know why we do what we do here at Calvary Goodyear.
Encourage and Equip Parents
First, we desire to encourage and equip parents to love God’s Word and to model it to their children (Deut. 6:4-9). We believe that God has given the primary responsibility and privilege of training children to parents. Therefore, we provide biblical training in parenting skills to help dads and moms in the nurturing of their children (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Eph. 6:4).
Teach and Reach Children
Second, because we value God’s Word as the ultimate authority for all matters of life, we teach and reach children by the infallable Word of God. The whole counsel of God is taught from Genesis to Revelation. Our desire is to produce Godly children through the power of the Holy Spirit, by leading them into a deep intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ the Savior.
We accomplish this by:
1. The reading and teaching of the Holy Scriptures to understand and prove the Gospel message.
2. Teaching the children how to pray, and the purpose of prayer.
3. Teaching them how to serve God and others.
Reach Entire Families
Finally, we desire to strengthen the family in their faith by providing family activities throughout the year to help produce spiritual growth for the entire family.
Our Meeting Times:
Sundays at 11am and Wednesdays at 7pm.
